Sonya Tighe

Partner, Corporate Finance

Sonya Tighe specialises in Corporate Finance at FGS.  Her assignments have included acquisitions, disposals, MBOs, strategic reviews and consultancy.

She joined Moore Stephens Caplin Meehan (MSCM) as a trainee chartered accountant in 1995, and progressed into Corporate Finance in 1999. She became a partner in MSCM in November 2001, and joined FGS in 2008 when both practices merged.

Qualifications

Sonya graduated from UCD with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree in 1995. She received her ACA chartered accounting qualification in 2000 and a Diploma in Management of Information Technology for Accountants the following year.

She has been a Council member of Chartered Accountants Ireland since 2006. She is also a committee member of Chartered Accountants Ireland Education, Training and Lifelong Learning Board, and chaired the Institute's Young Professionals Committee in 2006.
