With over 20 years' experience in the field, Declan Taite is recognised as one of Ireland's leading insolvency practitioners. He heads our corporate restructuring & insolvency division.
He is adept in ensuring the survival and continuation of viable businesses, and his corporate recovery skills involve him in creating solutions acceptable to all parties involved.
Declan is responsible for the management of our wide range of services relating to insolvency and financial difficulties. These include liquidations, receiverships, examinerships, investigations, turnaround assignments and corporate restructuring and recovery.

Insolvency expertise
Prior to joining FGS in 1994, Declan worked with Deloitte from 1989-94. During his time with Deloitte he worked with John Donnelly, the leading insolvency practitioner at the time.
He had direct exposure to very high profile insolvencies such as United Meat Packers, Dublin Cargo Handling, Tipperary Self Drive, and Atlantic Magnetics.
Declan is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (UK) and is the Honorary Secretary of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners. He is also a member of INSOL Europe (the European organisation of insolvency professionals) and INSOL International.
Declan is a regular commentator on insolvency matters in the national media, and has also spoken at many seminars about the financial difficulties in business.
