Organisational Reviews
Organisational reviews are commissioned by public sector, not for profit and other types of organisations for a variety of reasons:
- Boards, senior officials or other senior stakeholders require assurance that operations are aligned to organisational strategies
- Fundamental changes have occurred in government policy or in the international or local context
- Independent validation that the organisation is efficient and achieving the desired goals is required as a general best practice requirement
FGS has much experience in undertaking such organisational reviews, either as standalone assignments or part of a more holistic strategic consulting service.
Change management
Typical organisational review projects have involved:
- Reviews of structures, systems and staffing
- Assessments on how to achieve greater efficiencies while not detracting from quality service delivery
- Evaluating the organisation against peer organisations within the public or not for profit sector
- Producing a change management plan, to enable the organisation to put new structures into place
- Producing practical plans to allow boards, management, staff and other stakeholders to act on all FGS recommendations
