Corporate Restructuring & Insolvency: What we do
We are market leaders in the provision of corporate restructuring and insolvency services throughout Ireland.
Our work involves dealing with shareholders, directors, tax authorities, legal professionals, banks and suppliers.
We have been appointed in over 300 receiverships, liquidation and examinership cases, and have successfully resolved some of the largest and most complex recovery and insolvency cases in Ireland, including:
· Comer group of companies: a significant textile manufacturing companies with extensive plants in Donegal and Kilkenny. Receiver conducted post receivership trading for eight-month period to facilitate orderly sale of assets optimising recoveries for all stakeholders
· Delphi Spa Resort: receiver traded the world-class hotel and spa resort in Leenane, Co Galway, for four-month period to facilitate sale as going concern.
· William Phelan: receiver assumed the role of developer at this upmarket mixed residential, gated housing development in Kilkenny city, and is currently completing out construction of units (ongoing assignment)
· Eurofood IFSC (Irish subsidiary providing of financial services to Parmalat Group): Insolvency assignment involving significantly complex EU regulations, requiring European Court of Justice rulings in favour of Irish liquidator to determine jurisdictional disputes with Italian counterparts. A definitive precedent case law for EU Regulations related assignments
· Mouldpro International (manufacturer of plastic TV casings for Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba from plants in Dublin and Czech Republic): FGS conducted post-liquidation trading to facilitate debt collection process and optimisation of stock values
· Iretex group of companies (a manufacturer and distributor of various corrugated, foam and timber packaging solutions): FGS conducted limited post-liquidation trading to enhance asset values for the benefit of creditors and stakeholders.
