Michael Keenan

Michael Keenan heads FGS's outsourced Financial Control Services. With over 25 years' experience, Michael’s other specialist areas includes corporate restructuring, insolvency and audit.
His client base ranges from owner-managed businesses to multinational subsidiaries in a wide range of sectors, including:

- Information Technology
- Professional Service Firms
- Property
- Manufacturing
A Chartered Accountant, Michael is also a Qualified Financial Adviser, a member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners and a member of the Life Insurance Association.
Other roles
Michael served on the Audit Practice Review Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He is a former President of Longford Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and has held senior roles in various local voluntary and community organisations. He is a non-executive director of Clarigen Ltd, an FGS company specialising in HR and payroll services to employers.
Michael is a graduate of University College Galway. He trained with KPMG Dublin and was one of the founding partners in 1984 of Lyons Keenan Kilemade, Chartered Accountants. He became a partner in FGS in September 2006 following our merger with Lyons Keenan Kilemade.
He is located at our Longford office.
