Kevin Elliott
Partner, Taxation
Kevin Elliott has significant expertise in advising international clients on all tax issues.
He has led the resounding growth of the international tax consulting business in Moore Stephens Caplin Meehan (MSCM), which merged with FGS in July 2008.
He also advises many privately owned Irish businesses, as well as many multinationals on setting up in Ireland.
His experience includes advising on the tax aspects of corporate reorganisations, business disposals, restructurings, acquisitions and MBOs, and assisting companies involved in some of the largest construction and infrastructure projects in Ireland.
Compliance reviews
Kevin has been involved in many Revenue audits, and is very familiar with Revenue's approach in assessing risk areas. He has extensive experience in advising clients on ensuring compliance with the wide range of Irish tax obligations, and has carried out compliance reviews for a wide range of organisations.
Tax experience
Kevin has 25 years of tax experience, and previously worked with the Irish Revenue for five years.
He was involved in one of the longest running and successful tax appeals in Ireland, leading to significant tax refunds for all of his clients in that sector. An indication of the success of that appeal is that it led Revenue to seek changes in the relevant tax law.
Kevin joined MSCM in 2005, and became a Partner in FGS in 2008, following the merger of our two practices. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland and an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute (AITI).
Kevin is a member of the Taxation Committee South of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies. He is a current member of the Tax Administration and Liaison Committee (TALC) Indirect Tax Committee, and was its chairman for 2007.
Kevin is located at our Dublin office.
